Having problems saving a loading?
Forget codes?
Loose them?
Can NEVER find anything you need to in your WC3 folder?
This tutorial will go over this (as much as humanly possible).

Screenshotting

Screenshotting is the best way to "Save" your code.
You can easily see the code in an image, so there's no typos if you write it down something.

Anyway, so, I'll tell you some steps on how to do this. . .

1. Ok, so, you have the Image on your screen. It has the Numbers, Letters and such, something like JDSK-ASD1-DAFG1-OIJL-54D2 or such.

So, the first step is to Screenshot it. It's a key above your keyboard.
Here's an image of a keyboard (you should have one. . ), it's above Insert, which is near the arrow keys.
In this picture, it's call Print. The key is also called Print Screen, SysRq, or Print. (Ignore the dots on the picture).
Image

Now, it should now be located in a folder titled "Screenshots" in your WC3 folder.
It should be located in your Local Harddrive (if you dled WC3 where it suggested), C:<ProgramFiles<Warcraft III<Screenshots.

Now, open up a program that can detect pictures. Some use Paint, and such. I use Microsoft Frontpage, it's the best (for me).

Now, copy the File (the screenshot, it should be the last on the list if your My Computer's File setting is "Last Modified"

Ctrl C (copy) the file and Ctrl V (paste) into the program, a picture should come inside the program of the screenshot you took.

Type the code and all, copy (Ctrl C) the text and paste (Ctrl V) it into WC3.

ALSO: You should put the most recent data into a floppy disk every once in awhile incase your computer has to be formatted.

Your WC3 Folder

I'll explain what is in your WC3 folder and such.
First, a tip for the future, Save your wc3 folder as a Favorite so you DON'T have to search for it.
Your warcraft 3 game should be located by C drive, in Program Files, under W (press it on the keyboard so it goes to the Ws) for Warcraft 3.
There are a few folders.

AI Scripts: This is a spot where you can save your AI (Artificial Intelligence) that you make from the World Editor.

Campaigns: This is where your Custom Campaigns are (when playing Warcraft 3, go to Single Player, Custom Campaigns should be on the list). You must save files that are CAMPAIGNS into this location. Campaign icons are an open BOOK (where maps are a scroll).

Errors: This is the folder wc3 puts Errors, those Crash bugs basically. Normally these errors say something like . . .

This application has encountered a critical error:

Quote:
FATAL ERROR!

Program: (Warcraft 3)
Exception: 0xCXXXXXXXX (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at XXXXXXXXX

The instruction at '0x6F41A66D' referenced memory at '0x100AFFF8'.
The memory could not be 'read'.

Logs: This is where the computer saves the replay from a game that has crashed (Look in the quote above).

Maps: This is where warcraft 3 keeps all the maps you have downloaded from either Blizzard updates or B.Net.

Movies: This is where WC3 keeps the movies they made for the Campaign.

redists: This has something to do with WC3 internally, I'm not sure what exactly though.

Replay: This is where WC3 saves the replays YOU saved (exit game, instead of clicking O.K. there's a Save Replay button).

save: This is where WC3 keeps all the saved games that you have saved.

Screenshots: This is where the Screenshots go when you press the Screenshot button.

support: This is self explanatory, it's a file full of URLs (Links) to Blizzard's help system.

*****More coming, eventually. . . .******
